Don't Count Your Chickens Before They Hatch!

It's so hard not to count your chicks! Tonight we gathered around the kitchen table to candle our incubated eggs. Today is day 13 in the incubator. At this point we should be able to tell if a baby chick is growing inside or not. When the candle shines from underneath the egg and the egg is see through all the way to the top then there is no chick. If a chick is developing then the part where the chick is located will be solid and not see through. Follow along to see how many chicks we have developing!
