A New Little Life at Home

Sweet friends of ours just had their baby girl and I got a chance to go meet her Monday.  She is just precious!  This couple has been cheerleaders for us in the adoption process last year and I am so thankful that God brought them into our lives “for such a time as this”!  This week I got to celebrate their newest addition welcomed and introduced by the big sister who is going to be her best friend one day.  Right now I think Luke might still be her BFF.  But all relationships change over time and I think Luke is going to be replaced by this new little gal pretty quickly.  Her name is Emree.  She is just a joy and so easy peezy about life.  Of course in this session I didn’t take off her diaper and make her do crazy poses I just let her be…

This is a Lifestyle Newborn Shoot.  Way different than my posed newborn shoots of the past. (Didn't know I was a photographer...Click for Photography site)  Although I still brought a few baskets for the end and got to play dress up!  Lifestyle shoots take place in the clients home and they just do their thing.  It is way low stress for everyone and you will quickly get to fill a baby album with pictures that would have only existed in your memory if you have one those first few weeks after delivery.  The few posed pictures are great for your wall.  But if I could do it again (and I couldn’t take and be in them) but this is what I would have wanted us being us in the nursery I dreamed and worked so hard to come to life.

Big sister is getting in the action and is probably going to replace me as the family photographer one day soon.

       I couldn’t not do a few simple basket poses! It’s my thing ;)  Plus you have ever brought a girl to me…this is the Mama who made almost ALL the bows that were in the studio!
