Day Five of #homemadechristmas Bird Feeders

It's Day Five of #homemadechristmas ! Are you having as much fun as we are? I want to make sure that the gifts we choose interest the child I'm making it with and their recipient. Today I'm spending some one on one time with Luke. Luke is my youngest. He just turned 10 and is completely focused on nature most of the time. This homemade gift is perfect for him! We are making bird feeders! He got to choose the molds (cookie cutters) and make the entire gift himself. Confidence in the kitchen is a great thing! Directions: 1/2 cup of boiling water add 2 pks of unflavored gelatin and whisk together Add 1 1/2 cups of bird seed and stir. Fill molds with mixture. We used parchament paper under our molds. Insert a straw into mold mixture to perserve a hole for the string. Refrigerate for 2 hours. Gently pop out of mold. Let sit out over night to harden. Wrap and Give! Hope you have as much fun as we did! Enjoy! Follow and Subscribe to learn about more #homemadechristmas ideas!
